Our first regular season game is March 7.

Resource for Parents: My Kid is Playing WHAT?

Some parents who are new to the game have a tough time figuring out how it all works.  This guide, produced by the International Rugby Board (Rugby's equivalent to Soccer's FIFA) can help explain what's going on during play.  One really important page that parents should take a look at (or players should print for thier parents to use during the game) is the list of signals for penalties and other stoppages (the page is appropriately titled "Why did the whistle blow?").  It's on page 11.

Practice Notes for Tuesday, 1/20

Yesterday, we worked on Going into Contact (both offensively and tackling) and the rules relating to kicking.  (We also did a bit of mauling, but I can't really explain that here... if you missed it, we'll go over it again at the next practice.)  Check this out to recap and make sure you're up to date!
